1) WEST SIDE STORY– 2022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Love at first sight strikes when young Tony spots Maria at a high school dance in 1957 New York City. Their burgeoning romance helps to fuel the fire between the warring Jets and Sharks — two rival gangs.”

1) BABI YAR. CONTEXT– 2022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “On September 29-30, 1941, Sonderkommando 4a of the Einsatzgruppe C, assisted by two battalions of the Police Regiment South and Ukrainian Auxiliary Police, and without any resistance from the local population, shot dead in the Babi Yar ravine in the north-west of Kiev 33 771 Jews.”

4/2/22- Very good reviews for this documentary. TRDB. In Theaters

2) NITRAM- 2021. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Nitram (Caleb Landry-Jones) lives with his mother (Judy Davis) and father (Anthony LaPaglia) in suburban Australia in the Mid 1990s. He lives a life of isolation and frustration at never being able to fit in. That is until he unexpectedly finds a close friend in a reclusive heiress, Helen (Essie Davis).”

3) BETTER NATE THAN EVER– 2022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Nate Foster struggles to land roles in his middle school’s drama productions while he fantasizes about becoming a Broadway star.”

4) HOW TO SURVIVE  A PANDEMIC- 2022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “HOW TO SURVIVE A PANDEMIC takes an inside look at the historic, multi-national race to research, develop, regulate, and roll out COVID-19 vaccines in the war against the coronavirus pandemic. The documentary began filming in early 2020 as the largest public health effort in history got underway and followed those efforts of over the next 18 months, exploring in real time the hard work and collaboration of health agencies worldwide, as well as the political and moral failures of governments to act impartially and equitably.”

5) THE ROSE MAKER– 2022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Eve is one of France’s greatest artisanal horticulturalists, but her rose business is business facing imminent bankruptcy or liquidation. When her secretary hires three inexperienced ex-convicts, they must team up to rescue the business in this verdant comedy.”

6) GAGARINE– 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Teenager Youri (gifted newcomer Alseni Bathily) has lived his whole life in the tight-knit community of Gagarine, even being named after the famed Russian cosmonaut who inaugurated it in 1963. From the heights of his apartment, the science wiz dreams of becoming an astronaut. But when plans to demolish his home are leaked, Youri joins the resistance, embarking on a mission to save Gagarine.”
