MOVIES COMING TO NETFLIX ON DISC-

1) THE FRENCH DISPATCH– 2021. Synopsis by Netflix. “Set in 1950s France and featuring a star-studded cast, this ensemble dramedy threads together and brings to life a trio of short stories written for the final edition of an American magazine.”

2) WHO WE ARE: A CHRONICLE OF RACISM IN IN AMERICA– 2022. Synopsis by Netflix. “In this illuminating documentary that intertwines interviews, archival film, a lecture and personal anecdotes, civil-rights lawyer Jeffery Robinson delivers a powerful rebuke of the racist views that have scarred America’s past and haunt its present.”

3) DELICIOUS–  2021. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Writer/director Éric Besnard’s mouth-watering new historical comedy indelibly pairs Grégory Gadebois and Isabelle Carré as a gifted chef and his unlikely protégé, who must find the resolve to free themselves from servitude.”

4)  THE PINK CLOUD– 2021. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “A mysterious and deadly pink cloud appears across the globe, forcing everyone to stay home. Strangers at the outset, Giovana and Yago try to invent themselves as a couple as years of shared lockdown pass. While Yago is living in his own utopia, Giovana feels trapped deep inside.”

1/17/21- Early reviews are excellent. TRDB. In Theaters and on various streaming platforms

5) WHY IS WE AMERICANS? 2021. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “By turns kinetic and intimate, ‘Why is We Americans?’ is an in-depth, cinematic exploration of Newark’s legendary Baraka family.”

1/17/2021- No reviews as yet. TRDB. In Theaters

6) ITALIAN STUDIES– 2022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “From award-winning filmmaker Adam Leon, Italian Studies is a lyrical film about dislocation, connection, and the elusive nature of identity. While visiting New York City from her native London, writer Alina Reynolds (Academy Award®-nominee Vanessa Kirby) inexplicably loses her memory and suddenly becomes unmoored and adrift on the streets of Manhattan with no sense of time or place — or even her own name.”

9) A COPS AND ROBBERS STORY– 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “In the 1980s, Corey Pegues was embroiled in a life of crime as a member of New York City’s infamous Supreme Team gang. After a near-death gang confrontation, Pegues flees the city, only to return years later as a rising star in the NYPD. When Pegues speaks publicly in support of police reform, he becomes a target within the department and details of his former life are thrust into the spotlight.”
