1) THE PLACE OF NO WORDS– 2019. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “An innocent question by a little boy sets a family on an imaginative adventure to explore, “Where do we go when we die?”

10/22/20- Weak reviews for this drama but it does sound interesting. TRDB.

2) COMING HOME AGAIN– 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “With his mother dying of cancer, writer Chang-rae reconnects with her as she teaches him traditional Korean dishes he plans to prepare for a holiday family feast that he hopes will help them move past their conflicts and regrets.”

10/22/20- Excellent reviews for this drama. TRDB.

3) WHITE NOISE– 2020. Synopsis by IMDB. “The Atlantic’s first feature documentary is the definitive inside story of the movement that has come to be known as the alt-right. With unprecedented access, White Noise tracks the rise of the Alt-Right.”

10/23/20- Fair to good reviews for this documentary. TRDB. On google play and other streaming platforms.

4) BORAT SUBSEQUENT MOVIEFILM– 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Released from prison for bringing shame to his country, Kazakh funnyman Borat risks life and limb when he returns to America with his 15-year-old daughter.”

10/23/20- Fairly good reviews for this comedy starring Sasha Baron Cohen. TRDB. On Amazon

5) HAM ON RYE- 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “A bizarre rite of passage at the local deli determines the fate of a generation of teenagers.”

6) WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME– 2020. Synopsis by IMDB. “Live Broadway cast production of Heidi Schreck’s play presenting multiple facets, historical perspectives and personal experiences with the U.S. Constitution.”

10/23/20- Very good reviews. TRDB. On Amazon

7) SYNCHRONIC– 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “When New Orleans paramedics and longtime best friends Steve and Dennis are called to a series of bizarre and gruesome accidents, they chalk it up to a mysterious new drug found at the scene. But after Dennis’ oldest daughter disappears, Steve stumbles upon a terrifying truth about the supposed psychedelic that will challenge everything he knows about reality — and the flow of time itself.”

10/23/20- Fair to good reviews. Lots of violence and blood. I’ll skip it despite the good reviews. TRDB.

8) HOLIDATE  2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes.  “Fed up with being single on holidays, two strangers agree to be each other’s platonic plus-ones all year long, only to catch real feelings along the way.”

10/28/20- Terrible reviews by the critics and good ones from audiences. Sounds like a few movies I’ve seen before. TRDB.

MOVIES AT THE LIVING ROOM THEATERS AT FAU IN BOCA RATON-
1) A CALL TO SPY- 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “At the dawn of World War II, a desperate Winston Churchill orders his new spy agency to train women for covert operations. Together, these female agents help undermine the Nazi regime in France, leaving an unmistakable legacy in their wake.”

10/3/20– Fairly good reviews for this drama. TRDB.

2) ON THE ROCKS– 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “Doubting the fidelity of her hubby, Dean, as he takes more business trips, stay-at-home mom Laura turns to her playboy dad for advice. When he suggests that they tail Dean all over town, it leads to a comic adventure and growing father-daughter bond.”

10/2/20- Very good reviews for this comedy/drama.

3) SHITHOUSE– 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “Feeling blue, lonely college freshman Alex attends a campus party where he meets resident adviser Maggie — and the two share a long enchanted evening. But to Alex’s shock, Maggie wants nothing to do with him the next day.”

10/16/20- Excellent reviews for this drama/comedy. TRDB.

4) THE KEEPER– 2019. Synopsis by IMDB. “The love story of a young English woman and a German PoW, a soccer player, who together overcome prejudice, public hostility and personal tragedy.”
