ANOTHER WEEK WITH NO IN-THEATER FILMS SHOWING!!
DURING THIS PERIOD I WILL TRY TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF NEW STREAMING MOVIES THAT I REVIEW

MOVIES I SAW THIS WEEK AT HOME-
1) UNCORKED- 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Fueled by his love for wine, Elijah enrolls in a course to become a master sommelier, an elite designation given only to a handful who are able to pass its notoriously difficult exam. It’s a dream that upends the expectations of his father, Louis (Courtney B. Vance), who insists Elijah take over the popular Memphis barbeque joint that’s been passed down from father to son.”

3/27/20- Very good reviews. TRDB.

3/28/20- I enjoyed this movie. TRDB. Netflix

COMING TO NETFLIX NEXT WEEK-
1) CITIZEN K– 2019. Synopsis by Netflix. “Oligarch-turned-political-dissident Mikhail Khodorkovsky became rich after the Soviet Union’s collapse but landed in jail when he accused Vladimir Putin’s government of corruption. Now exiled in London, Khodorkovsky continues his anti-Putin activism.”

2/4/20- Excellent reviews from the critics but audiences have not liked it at all. TRDB.

2) CATS– 2019. Synopsis by Netflix. “Featuring a star-studded cast, this cinematic adaptation of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved stage musical follows a band of singing junkyard felines over the course of one momentous night.”

12/17/19- Awful reviews. TRDB.

1) BANANA SPLIT– 2020. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. ” The newly single April mends her heartbreak by striking up an unexpected friendship with an unlikely candidate: Her ex boyfriend’s new girlfriend.”

3/27/20- Very good reviews. TRDB. On several streaming platforms

2) RESISTANCE- 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “During the Nazi occupation of France, Marcel Mangel — who would later become legendary mime Marcel Marceau — shelves his artistic ambitions to join a group of Jewish Boy Scouts helping the Resistance smuggle out children orphaned by the Holocaust.”

3/30/20- Weak reviews for this drama but it sounds interesting to me. TRDB. Amazon
