MOVIES I SAW THIS WEEK AT THE THEATER-

This inspiring biopic focuses on her early career as she teams with her husband to bring a historic gender-discrimination case before the Supreme Court.”

1/14/19- Somewhat Hollywoodish but I did enjoy it. Not nearly as good as RBG. TRDB.

MOVIES I SAW THIS WEEK AT HOME-
1)
SOLO- 2019. About a surfer who has a bad accident and is stranded on a beach alone.
1/12/19- Water, water everywhere. The movie was interesting and done well with flashbacks. Good music and excellent photography were important for this film. TRDB. An original Netflix movie.
2) THE LAST LAUGH– 2019. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “When retired talent manager Al Hart is reunited with his first client, Buddy Green, a comic who quit show business 50 years ago, he convinces Buddy to escape their retirement community and hit the road for a cross-country comedy tour.”

3)
AND BREATHE NORMALLY– 2019. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “At the edge of Iceland’s Reykjanes peninsula, two women’s lives will intersect–for a brief moment–while being trapped by unforeseen circumstances. 9/29/18- Good early reviews. TRDB.
10/19/18- Clearly a fun movie with emphasis on Robert Redford as this is supposed to be his final movie. TRDB.
3)
FIRST MAN- 2018. Synopsis by Netflix. “When America needed a hero, test pilot turned astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped up to the plate, becoming the first person to walk on the moon. This absorbing biopic recounts his extraordinary journey and the sacrifices demanded of him along the way.”
10/9/18- Excellent reviews from the critics and fair ones from audiences. TRDB.
10/18/18- Overall I enjoyed it but I think that the movie was dull when not airborne and the suspense was artificially heightened with the music and with visuals. TRDB.
