1) THE BEST OF ENEMIES<\/strong>– 2019- Synopsis by Netflix. “On opposite sides for a decade, civil rights activist Ann Atwater and Ku Klux Klan leader C.P. Ellis grudgingly work together on a committee overseeing school desegregation in Durham, North Carolina. In the process, the two form an unlikely bond.”<\/span><\/div>\n

4\/24\/22- I saw this\u00a0movie\u00a0for the second time and enjoyed it much more this time. TRDB.<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

2) NAVALNY<\/strong>– In 1961, Kempton Bunton, a 60-year old taxi driver, stole Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. It was the first (and remains the only) theft in the Gallery’s history. Kempton sent ransom notes saying that he would return the painting on condition that the government invested more in care for the elderly. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

5) CHARLOTTE<\/strong>–\u00a02022. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Charlotte is an animated drama that tells the true story of Charlotte Salomon, a young German-Jewish painter who comes of age in Berlin on the eve of the Second World War. Fiercely imaginative and deeply gifted, she dreams of becoming an artist.”<\/p>\n

4\/24\/21-\u00a0I don’t usually recommend animated movies but this one, despite only fair reviews, did sound interesting to me. TRDB. <\/strong>In Theaters<\/p>\n
