7/18/14- Professional reviews and audience reaction are mixed. TRDB.

11/8/14- A delightful light drama, this movie will not win any awards but I liked it very much. TRDB.

FANNY

FANNY- 2014. Synopsis by Netflix. “When her true love sails away, a pregnant young woman who sells seashells marries a much older man to avoid scandal. But when the father of her child returns several months later, a complicated love triangle results.”

7/18/14- Reviews have been luke warm- the NY Times did not like it. TRDB.

6/12/15- Fair reviews at best but I enjoyed the movie. I like most of Daniel Auteuil’s work, this time as actor and director. TRDB.

THE EMPTY HOURS- 2014. Synopsis by Netflix. “On the desolated coast of Veracruz, 17 year-old Sebastián takes over running his uncle’s small and cozy rent-by-the hour motel. There he meets Miranda, a regular customer who comes to the motel to meet a lover who always keeps her waiting. As Sebastián and Miranda get to know each other, an ambiguous game of seduction begins between them.”

9/25/14- An interesting story taking place in a desolate area where boredom is the biggest issue. I liked it. TRDB.

7/5/14- OK reviews from critics- the NY Times liked it very much. Audiences not so much. TRDB.

6/8/16- I enjoyed this sad but very realistic drama. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.
