11/17/15- An excellent documentary giving tribute to many Italians who gave sanctuary to Jews during the war. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.

NO PLACE ON EARTH

NO PLACE ON EARTH- 2012. Synopsis by Netflix. “This documentary sheds light on a long-untold story of World War II: the 18-month sanctuary of 38 Jewish refugees in a Ukrainian cave. Five surviving members discuss their ordeal, as the film chronicles the accidental discovery of the cave in 1993.”

3/21/13- Just a few reviews and they are all very good. TRDB.

4/5/13- A very good review in today’s NY Times. TRDB.

9/10/13- This story is remarkable but the movie itself became boring particularly because the majority of the film was made up of “reenactments.” It felt more like a narrated drama. TRDB.
