10/3/14- Fairly good reviews although a few were very negative and several brought up the violence. TRDB.

5/20/15- Interesting and enjoyable but definitely confusing at the same time. Still worth seeing. TRDB. Netflix.

THE TWO FACES OF JANUARY- 2014. Synopsis by Netflix. “A young American working as a tour guide and part-time con artist in Greece finds himself caught in a dangerous arrangement when a wealthy couple invites him to dinner at their hotel — and an accident forces them to flee the scene together.”

9/26/14- Very good reviews by the critics– audiences have been 50/50. TRDB.

10/16/14- I enjoyed this thriller very much. Great acting and an interesting story. TRDB.

ASMODEXIA- 2014. Synopsis by Netflix. “As a sinister spirit known as the Evil One begins taking over the souls of Barcelona denizens, exorcist Eloy de Palma and his granddaughter try valiantly to cure the growing number of afflicted. Meanwhile, a secret cult seeks to thwart their efforts.”

9/26/14- This movie actually got a few good reviews including the NY Times. I’ll skip it. TRDB.

When the group gathers for their annual 4th of July holiday weekend in Idaho, her mom (Smart), step-father (Leonard) and father (Friedenberg), along with a combustible mix of friends and entanglements, secrets begin to unravel and have an impact on young Joey.”

CHEAP THRILLS- 2014. Synopsis by Netflix. “Humiliation and pain are the name of the game in this offbeat drama whose hero, Craig, takes on a strange series of dares in exchange for cash. When the wealthy couple paying for the high jinks invites him home, Craig’s degradation only worsens.”

DEVIL’S PASS

DEVIL’S PASS- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “Five students retrace the steps of a group of hikers who famously perished in Russia’s Ural Mountains more than five decades prior. It isn’t long, however, before trouble besets the new group of adventurers in this found-footage chiller.”

8/9/13- No reviews as yet but this movie sounds very scary and I probably won’t see it even if it gets good reviews. TRDB.
