4/25/14- Very good critical review but audiences haven’t cared for it. The NY Times did like it. TRDB.

GRAND SLAMMED

GRAND SLAMMED- 2010. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Mikey is an aspiring Major Leaguer whose chances at pro ball are slipping away. Nevertheless, his father Bobby, a disgruntled construction worker battling alcoholism is not giving up on him. But after throwing a wild pitch in front of a scout, Mikey becomes disillusioned with baseball and ends up at a local Bronx bar. After a night of drinking on that fateful night, Mikey unexpectedly finds himself in the driver’s seat of the getaway car for an attempted murder.”

BLUE RUIN- 2003. Synopsis by Netflix. “Bad news from the past unhinges vagabond Dwight Evans, sending him on a mission of bloody retribution that takes him to his boyhood hometown. After killing his quarry, Dwight holes up in a relative’s house to await payback from his victim’s family.”

4/27/14- Good reviews from critics and audiences as well. The NY Times did not care for it. TRDB.

10/14/14– A suspenseful, well done thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. Lots of blood so be warned. TRDB.

SOFT IN THE HEAD- 2014. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “Thrown out of her New York City apartment, Natalia, a 25-year-old hot mess, relies on the kindness of friends and strangers. Seemingly unaware of the havoc she wreaks, she skips from one place to another, including her best friend’s, where she crashes a holiday meal and seduces the best friend’s socially inept brother. Natalia ends up staying at a shelter run by genuinely good Maury, who takes an interest in making her life better — but life is not that simple, and tragedy ensues.”

GABRIELLE- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “Musicians Gabrielle and Martin fall in love and want to begin a relationship, which is against the rules at the home for the disabled where they live. Refusing to part with Martin, Gabrielle is determined to prove that she can live independently.”

11/10/14- This movie was beautiful– great characters and a very interesting story. TRDB. Netflix.
