THE LAND- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “Cleveland teens Cisco, Boobie, Junior and Patty Cake plan to use their skateboarding skills to catapult themselves out of the ‘hood, but a chance discovery of a cache of pills may provide an opportunity to escape much faster.”

INTO THE FOREST

INTO THE FOREST- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “In this near-future vision of America’s collapse, two sisters living in an isolated forest cabin slowly become aware that a continental power outage may be permanent, leaving them in uncharted territory that will test their fortitude and their bond.”

7/29/16- Sounds a bit weird but good critical review. Audiences have not cared for the movie. TRDB.

INDIGNATION- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “When he’s admitted to a rigidly Christian college in the Midwest, Marcus Messner also achieves another goal: to get away from his domineering Jewish dad. But Marcus’ optimism is soon tempered by a nettling dean and signs of anti-Semitism on campus.”

7/29/16- Very good reviews. TRDB.

8/6/16- I liked this movie very much. A painful story to watch but worth the effort. TRDB. At the Theater.

7/29/16- Fairly good reviews from the critics and mixed ones from audiences. TRDB.

8/23/16- I agree with the audience reviews on this one. I felt like I had seen this movie 3 or 4 times before. You can safely skip it. TRDB. At the Theater.

THE INFILTRATOR- 2016.  Synopsis by Netflix. “The exploits of U.S. Customs agent Robert Mazur are recounted in this narco-crime thriller set in the 1980s. Gaining the trust of some of the world’s most notorious drug lords, Mazur becomes a key player in an intricate government sting.”

SUMMERTIME

SUMMERTIME- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “Fleeing her rural life and moving to Paris, the gay but unschooled Delphine meets avowed feminist Carole, and they begin a passionate affair. When her father falls ill, Delphine goes home to help her mother, and Carole must decide whether to follow.”

7/22/16- Very good reviews for this French drama. TRDB.

8/29/16- I saw this and liked it very much. TRDB.

HILLARY’S AMERICA- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “Continuing his determined advocacy of conservative Christian values, writer-director Dinesh D’Souza trains a highly critical lens on his favorite target, Hillary Clinton, and the Democrat party’s sometimes checkered past.”

7/22/16- Awful reviews by the critics but audiences have liked it. TRDB.

DON’T WORRY BABY- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “The relationship between Harry Lang and his son, Robert, takes an unexpected turn when they discover that they slept with the same woman years earlier, a few days apart — which means either one could be the father of her 4-year-old daughter.”

7/22/16- Mixed reviews but it does sound interesting. TRDB.

11/20/16- Some very good and some very bad reviews but with the above noted premise it was bound to be at least somewhat interesting. Having said that, I think you can skip it. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.
