11/2/16- A comedic old time Western with a very good Ethan Hawke and equally good John Travolta. Accept it for what it is and enjoy!! TRDB. Comcast On-Demand.

Synopsis by Netflix. “Hired by a suave con man, young street-thief Sook-hee secures employmentI haven’t hated a movie this much since I saw The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. Artful and well-acted but tedious and vulgar. Sorry folks. Call me a prude if you like but that’s what I think. as a handmaiden for wealthy but reclusive heiress Lady Hideko. But the pair’s plan to steal her fortune becomes complicated when Lady Hideko falls in love with Sook-hee.

11/9/16- Great reviews as noted above but I did not like this movie at all. The one reviewer who dissented said this- “I haven’t hated a movie this much since I saw The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. Artful and well-acted but tedious and vulgar. Sorry folks. 10/30/16- A profoundly sad chronicle of a gay black child becoming a gay black man. The movie was extremely well done- acting and music reminded me of an opera. The movie really needed sub-titles and I feel that I missed a significant portion of the dialogue. TRDB.
