DETROIT- 2017. Synopsis by Netflix. “This historical drama is set during the citizen unrest that occurred in 1967 Detroit, when the deaths of three black men inflamed the residents and led to 40 additional fatalities, along with the destruction or looting of 2,500 buildings.”

7/21/17- Very good reviews from the critics and from audiences as well. TRDB.

7/29/17- I liked this French movie very much. Typical slow development of the plot with excellent acting by Catherine DeNeuve and Catherine Frot. TRDB. At the Theater.

KILLING GROUND

KILLING GROUND- 2017. Synopsis by Netflix. “Looking for an escape from the city, Ian and Samantha make their way to a campsite in the bush, where they find an abandoned tent. But after they come across a child roaming the woods alone, they’re propelled into a hellish fight for survival.”

7/21/17- Generally good reviews but I will not recommend this “horror” film. TRDB.

7/21/17- Very good reviews for this foreign drama. TRDB.

12/1/18- I enjoyed this movie very much even though it was a bit Hollywoodish at times, especially the music. TRDB. Netflix disc.
