OUR IDIOT BROTHER- 2011- Synopsis by Netflix. “Ned (Paul Rudd) is a seemingly clueless idealist who must rely upon his three exasperated sisters (Emily Mortimer, Elizabeth Banks and Zooey Deschanel) for shelter and support after he’s dumped by his fed-up girlfriend (Kathryn Hahn) and loses custody of his beloved dog, Willie Nelson. As he wreaks havoc on his sisters’ lives, Ned’s earnestness shines through until his siblings realize that family ties take priority over wealth and position.” Good reviews so far. TRDB.
8/27/11- Good review in today’s NY Times. TRDB.
12/3/11- I almost turned this off near the beginning but didn’t (and don’t you). Many cliches but this movie was different and had some of the funniest scenes that I have seen in a long time. Interesting family dynamics as well. TRDB. Netflix.

BRIGHTON ROCK- 2010. But at what point does his premeditated plot blossom into true passion? And are either party’s motives 100 percent pure? John Hurt and Helen Mirren co-star in writer-director Rowan Joffe’s film adaptation of Graham Greene’s novel.” I’ve seen just a few reviews and they are not good. TRDB.

FOR LOVERS ONLY- 2010. Synopsis by Netflix. “Former lovers bump into each other in Paris, and sparks are reignited in this road drama that finds them traveling the length of France. The paramours experience both the joy of each other’s company and the angst of an unsettled relationship.” Just a few reviews and they are good. TRDB.
6/20/12- I truly disliked both the man and the woman in this film. I found them to be immature beyond their years and the screenplay reflected this. You can miss it. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.

8/16/11- A very good beginning and a wonderful end but too much time spent in the middle watching very cute, precosius children. The 4yr. old star is unbelievable. All in all, I’d still recommend it. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.
