3/29/14- While there are many mysteries that persist after the movie ends this true story packs a real wallop. Wonderful acting makes it even better. TRDB. Netflix.

2/14/14- I found this movie very interesting and liked the characters very much. It received mixed reviews, more positive than negative, but I would definitely recommend it. TRDB.

PARADISE: LOVE- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “Teresa, a 50-year-old Austrian, vacations on Kenya’s sun-kissed shores looking for love among the local beach boys who survive on European “sugar mamas.” She falls for Munga, but soon realizes that his false sincerity is part of the sex tourism game.”
7/15/13- Mixed reviews but all said it was a disturbing movie. TRDB.
9/10/13- This movie was very well done and indeed very disturbing. I felt like singing “looking for love in all the wrong places.” TRDB. Netflix.

12/28/14- An interesting coming of age story with some unusual differences from others of the same genre. I liked it. TRDB.

LAURANCE ANYWAYS- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “Thirtysomething high school teacher Laurence seems to have the perfect life, but when he confesses to his fiancée that he wants to live as a woman, he must overcome both her resistance and that of his bewildered family and dubious co-workers.”
6/28/13- Very good reviews all around including the one in today’s NY Times. TRDB.
10/10/13- While this movie was both different and interesting it was way too long and many of the scenes were very drawn out. I really can’t recommend it. TRDB.
