THE ARMSTRONG LIE– 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “Filming cyclist Lance Armstrong as he trained for the 2009 Tour de France, director Alex Gibney had intimate access to the racer’s team. Gibney’s cameras were also rolling for Armstrong’s startling 2012 confession of performance-enhancing drug use.”

A PERFECT MAN- 2013. Synopsis by Rotten Tomatoes. “On the cusp of their ninth anniversary, James and Nina seem to have the perfect marriage and ideal lives – an affluent life in Amsterdam, lucrative jobs and adoring friends. 2/8/14- Poor reviews as noted but I felt that the movie had something to offer and I did like it. I also love the acting of Liev Schreiber in this and in other films as well. TRDB.

ESCAPE FROM TOMORROW- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “On the last day of a family vacation at Disney World, Jim White learns that he’s lost his job. Soon thereafter, he begins to lose his mind, wandering through the artificial phantasmagoria and becoming obsessed with two perky French girls.”

5/11/14- Definitely ranks as one of the 10 weirdest movies I’ve seen. I kind of enjoyed the first half but then lost interest totally. TRDB. Netflix.

WHEN I WALK- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “When 25-year-old director Jason DaSilva was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2006, he decided to document his struggles. In this wise and warm film, DaSilva explores the similarities we share as we each battle to overcome our individual problems.”

12/24/14- I liked this documentary very much and despite the topic the movie managed to balance the sadness and the hope for the future. TRDB.
