10/29/15- I liked this movie very much. In a way it is a coming of age story with some twists related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Well acted and a great screenplay. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.

6/30/15- An excellent documentary about a special person. The music was great as well. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.

FIVE STAR

FIVE STAR- 2015. Synopsis by Netflix. “Putting gang culture under the microscope, this potent drama follows John, a teen tempted by thug life, and Primo, an ex-con trying to escape it. With his father dead from a gunshot, John looks to street veteran Primo for life lessons.”

8/7/15- Good reviews from critics and audiences as well. TRDB.

10/28/15- I liked this movie very much. I feel that it portrayed the characters very realistically and I think that I understood the push and pull of the streets in a way that I never have before. TRDB. Netflix.

9/12/15- This drama from Iran was interesting and very well done. A realistic look at friendship, trust and honesty. TRDB. Netflix Streaming.

WELCOME TO NEW YORK

WELCOME TO NEW YORK- 2015. Synopsis by Netflix. “Modeled on the real-life scandal involving French statesman Dominique Strauss-Kahn, this cautionary drama of politics and lust tracks the fate of a powerful public figure whose reputation begins to crumble after he’s accused of raping a hotel maid.”

6/16/15- Fairly good professional reviews but awful audience ones. TRDB.

8/22/15-Most of the movie was enjoyable but the conclusion- the interchange between the two main characters was way overacted and without real emotion. Still, I’ll recommended seeing this film. TRDB. Netflix.

SPY

SPY- 2015. Synopsis by Netflix. “Unassuming CIA analyst Susan Cooper is far from being a James Bond type, but when she’s thrust into the field to investigate the disappearance of her partner, she turns into an improbable superspy.”

6/5/15- Very good reviews both by critics and by audiences. TRDB.

11/14/15- An at times funny spoof of a Bond type movie but I ran out of patience and finally turned it off. TRDB. Netflix.
