12/23/20- After a slow start this movie got much better and I enjoyed it very much. TRDB.

FISHERMAN’S FRIENDS- 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “A fast living, cynical London music executive heads to a remote Cornish village where he’s pranked by his boss into trying to sign a group of shanty singing fishermen. He struggles to gain the respect or enthusiasm of the unlikely boy band and their families. Soon he’s forced to reevaluate his own integrity and ultimately question what success really means.”

HILLBILLY ELEGY

HILLBILLY ELEGY- 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “Former Marine and current Yale Law student J.D. Vance has worked hard to distance himself from his Appalachian roots. But when a family crisis calls him back to his hometown, he’s forced to come to terms with his complex family history.”

11/26/20- I think that the movie was much better than the critics gave it credit for. TRDB.

JUNGLELAND- 2020. Synopsis by Netflix. “In debt to a mob boss after a loss in the ring, bare-knuckles boxer Lion and his manager brother, Stanley, travel across the country for a tournament that may help them recoup their losses. But an unexpected traveling partner complicates their plans.”
