Lilly, on the other hand, has mellowed from the controlling woman she was and is hoping to pass on some wisdom to her children. Now her kids find themselves dealing with their own feelings of resentment and broken dreams while trying to figure out how Ted fits into their mother’s life.”

9/13/13- Mixed reviews by critics. The NY Times did not care for it but audiences have liked it alot. TRDB.

HERB & DOROTHY 50X50

HERB & DOROTHY 50X50- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “This follow-up to 2008’s Herb & Dorothy chronicles the Vogels’ mission to donate 2,500 works of art from their extensive collection. Bestowing 50 pieces to each state, the couple unwittingly opens a discussion on the role of art in the new century.”

9/13/13- Very few reviews so far and they are mixed. Today’s NY Times said that is was difficult not to like a movie dedicated to such a noble gesture but the critic didn’t really care for the film itself. TRDB.

9/13/13- Today’s NY Times gave this movie a good review with qualifications but nealy all other critics panned it. TRDB.

TIO PAPI

TIO PAPI- 2013. Synopsis by Netflix. “Ray Ray Dominguez, who won’t commit to his longtime girlfriend, has responsibility forced on him when his sister dies and her six kids land on his doorstep. But while trying to find the tots new families, he unexpectedly comes to like domestic life.”

9/6/13- Today’s NY Times pointed out many flaws but seemed to like the movie. Nobody else did, however. TRDB.
