1/29/17- It was a ridiculous movie. The worst!!! TRDB.

DOCTOR STRANGE

DOCTOR STRANGE- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “After an auto accident ends his career as a neurosurgeon, Stephen Strange embarks on a quest to heal himself. His path him leads to the Ancient One, a mysterious mentor who trains Strange to defend Earth by becoming the next Sorcerer Supreme.”

11/4/16- Very good to excellent reviews with a few really bad ones as well. You won’t catch me watching this movie. TRDB.

 NEITHER HEAVEN NOR EARTH– 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “When two of his troops mysteriously vanish during surveillance duty in Afghanistan, a French army captain investigates and comes up with a logical reason for their disappearance. But as more soldiers go missing, his rationalizations no longer work.

8/5/16- I usually don’t care for sci-fi but this movie had some interesting reviews—NOT all, however.

SHELLEY

SHELLEY- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “When Kasper and Louise learn that she’s unable to bear a child, their immigrant maid, Elena, agrees to serve as their surrogate — for a tidy sum. But when the fetus starts growing abnormally fast, it’s evident that this is no regular pregnancy.”

7/29/16- Not my kind of movie but it did receive good reviews. TRDB.

INTO THE FOREST

INTO THE FOREST- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “In this near-future vision of America’s collapse, two sisters living in an isolated forest cabin slowly become aware that a continental power outage may be permanent, leaving them in uncharted territory that will test their fortitude and their bond.”

7/29/16- Sounds a bit weird but good critical review. Audiences have not cared for the movie. TRDB.

THE LOBSTER

THE LOBSTER- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “Set in a not-so-distant future, this imaginative allegorical tale depicts a world where single people are hunted down and forced to find mates within 45 days to avoid being turned into animals and banished to live in nature.”

5/13/16- Excellent reviews by most of the critics but several of them said that the movie was too clever for its own good. TRDB.

5/28/16- Put me in the “didn’t like it” column. Clever it was but THAT’S IT!! TRDB. At the Theater.

TALE OF TALES- 2016. Synopsis by Netflix. “Intertwining three tales of irony, magic and monsters, this surreal anthology follows an infertile queen fixated on bearing a child, a feckless monarch obsessed with a gifted flea and a randy ruler who develops an unwitting infatuation.”

4/22/16- Good professional reviews and fair audience ones but this sci-fi movie does not appeal to me at all. TRDB.

4/22/16- Fair reviews for this foreign drama starring Mads Mikkelsen. TRDB.

3/11/16- Fair reviews by the critics although audiences have liked it more. I think I will skip it. TRDB.
