THE PROPOSAL- 2009. Directed by Anne Fletcher. With Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Bullock plays a high powered big city editor and he her assistant. When she is threatened with deportation to Canada she coerces him to marry her so she can stay in the US. Perhaps I’m a sap but as trivial as this movie was at times, I laughed out loud and I think it’s worth watching. Netflix. 10/09

AWAY WE GO-2009. Directed by Sam Mendes. About an unmarried couple in a long term relationship who are expecting. They travel to several cities to visit friends and relatives and to find a place to settle and raise their child. This movie got only fair reviews but public opinion kept it around for a while.
10/09- I thought it was a fair drama/comedy. Netflix.

THE VILLAGE BARBERSHOP- 2008. Starring John Ratzenberger as a beer drinking, horse betting aging barber who is forced to hire a woman barber (Shelly Cole) when his partner dies unexpectedly. Stupid movie and I turned it off. 9/09. Netflix.
